This policy explains what happens to information when you use Lumen & Room, including the lighting planner tool.

The lighting planner and localStorage

The lighting planner runs entirely in your browser. When you choose to save a plan, compare two configurations, or restore a previous plan, that information is written to your browser's local storage (under key names beginning with lumen-room:) and never leaves your device. We do not receive, see, or store the room dimensions, preferences, or plans you enter into the tool. Clearing your browser's site data, using a private/incognito window, or clicking "Clear" inside the tool removes this information from your device; we have no copy to delete on our end because we never received one.

Hosting and technical logs

Like most websites, the server or service hosting this site may automatically log basic technical information for security and reliability purposes, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We do not currently operate any analytics platform on this site. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated before such a change takes effect, and the update will describe what is collected and why.

Contact messages

If you email us through the address on our Contact page, we retain that correspondence only as long as needed to address your message and keep a reasonable record of corrections or feedback received.

Advertising

This site does not currently display advertising. If we introduce advertising in the future (for example, through a network such as Google AdSense), this Privacy Policy will be updated in advance to disclose what data such a service collects and how, before any advertising is enabled.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note the nature of the change.
