Accessibility Statement
Last updated: January 15, 2026
Lumen & Room is built to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology, keyboard-only navigation, or browser accessibility settings.
What we have built in
- Full keyboard navigation for the menu, dropdown, filters, and the lighting planner tool, with a visible focus state on every interactive element.
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Color contrast aimed at WCAG AA for body text and interactive controls.
- Form fields with associated, visible labels.
- Lighting planner results announced through an
aria-liveregion as they update, so screen reader users are notified without needing to re-scan the page. - Text alternatives and descriptions for diagrams and illustrations, rather than relying on color or shape alone to convey information.
- Support for the
prefers-reduced-motionbrowser setting, which disables non-essential animation. - Editorial content available in standard HTML, readable with or without JavaScript enabled.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is an ongoing practice rather than a one-time checklist. We periodically review pages against these standards and welcome reports of anything we have missed.
Reporting an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, please contact us through our Contact page with the page URL and a description of the issue, including the assistive technology or browser you were using if relevant. We will review and address reports as quickly as we reasonably can.
